Never get comfortable

You'd think a fan could get comfortable with a 9-1 lead. Not this fan. Not tonight.

That wind looked nasty. The errors were almost as nasty.

Kevin Millwood continues to prove he's a different pitcher than he was last year. If he keeps on improving, he really can be the anchor this team needs. He didn't finish strong tonight, but the weather was tricky...for both teams. There were a lot of hits (on both sides) that would not have been so productive in normal conditions.

It's always fun to watch firsts -- Boggs' HR. Hamilton's grand slam. LOVE IT.

KISS: Josh Hamilton. He may have only been 1 for 5, but his four RBI certainly came in handy.

MISS: I suppose Duran's throwing error. It was an ugly inning all the way around, though, so it's a tough call.

Personally, I would have given the "miss" to Frank Francisco, who came into the 7th inning with one out and the bases clear, and gave up a run on 2 hits and a walk while getting just one out.

Not a very good performance from Frankie. I don't know what it is, but the entire bullpen just seems to suck this season. Maybe Dom Chiti, the bullpen coach could use some help or something.

This was a pretty ugly win, but I'll take it.

How about that Brandon Boggs though? Only two games and a handfull of AB's, of course, but he seems to be adjusting to the Majors nicely. Between him and David Murphy, I'm pretty confident that we're set from the standpoint of 4th OF's/part-time starters for the next few years.

I looking forward to the continued influx of young talent on this team. David Murphy has provided a much needed spark in the line-up. He has proven to me without a doubt the his performance at the end of last season was not a fluke. It would appear that Boggs has made is impression quickly. Wait and see if he adjusts as the other teams scout him and find the holes in his swing. Do not forget the work done by Travis Metcalf as well. He started to come on strong at the end of last year as well. Travis was having a fantastic spring until is injury. More and more you will see these young guys come up and fight to prove they belong. It will be exciting to see Chris Davis, Elvis, and other when they get their chance.
Go Rangers!
