I only have one thought about tonight's game (I'm still not in the mood to do a full entry)...

Jason Botts was one of Ian Kinsler's closest friends on the team.
Botts gets DFA'd.
Kinsler gets ejected during his first AB of the night.

Coincidence? I'm not so sure.

You know, one of the things that got me about tonights game was that Ron Washington had not one, but two bad calls to argue (the call at the plate, and Kinsler's ejection) and yet he still did not get himself ejected.

That really sickens me. Whenever one of your players gets ejected on a bad call like that, the manager should be right there on the field next to him, getting ejected himself. It's called protecting your player.

Apparently, Ron has never heard of this concept.

I know today is Ron's birthday... but he needs to be fired first thing in the morning. No more mercy.

You read my mind Micah - Ian couldn't take his frustrations out on his teammates or his manager - and I can't ever remember him arguing balls and strikes - ever - and I've seen him in many games since 2004 in Frisco...tough night for all of Jason's friends.
